• Open arms to embrace family near and far with whom to share the comedies and tragedies of life in loving comfort
  • Open eyes to appreciate the wonders of the world in
    • the smallest poem
    • the largest painting
    • the nearby flower
    • the most distant waterfall in a tropical paradise
  • Open ears to feel the transcendent power of
    • a Beethoven symphony
    • a Puccini aria
    • an Act 1 finale (Memory)
    • a mother’s simple “I love you”
  • An open mind to see beyond the pale and embrace your own unique perspective as it will lead you to discoveries only you can make
  • An open heart to let in the many friends and lovers you will encounter along the dramatic pathways of your life
  • Many fantastic opening nights of your own as you attain your dreams and fulfill your destiny

And much love,

Your “great” Uncle Clark

During a few of their many trips to the New York City area while visiting their grandparents and cousins, Sarah and Amanda were also able to spend some fun times with us. We certainly enjoyed their visits with us and hope that they and theirs will continue to view our home as always open to them.

The Broadway T-shirt recalls all the great site seeing and shopping we did with Sarah in the Big Apple, including a trip through the Metropolitan Art Museum and the chance to see the original Broadway productions of the popular shows Beauty and the Beast, Ragtime and Rent.

For me it signifies family, travel and the arts, important aspects of my wish for Sarah and John’s first child.
